We want to welcome back as well as thank our new sponsors for this years’ exciting event:
Con Edison, Investors Bank, Brooklyn Crab, Naturally Delicious, Musician’s General Store, Lion In The Sun, Sixpoint Brewery, Fairway, Stinky Brooklyn, Smith and Vine, Jolie Cantina, Petite Crevette, Manhattan by Sail, Bond Street Theater, William King Photography, Van Brunt Stillhouse, Red Hook Star Review, Big Apple Circus and Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pie. (with even more to come!)

This year we honor Alice Scanlan and Josephine Myers (sisters) who grew up on the Lehigh Valley Barge as well as our captain, David Sharps!
We’ll also bring you “Live” musical performances from the David Smith Trio, and NYC’s favorite Dance Band – METROPOLIS! A Live Auction with auctioneer offering our guests various NYC sailing trips, a delicious sunset dinner for eight on-board the Barge as well as wonderful gifts and prizes for the very popular ‘Walk the Plank” and “Best Costume” of the night. Enjoy the breath taking sunset views of NY Harbor, the Statue of Liberty and the warm summer nights breeze on the pier……come on; how can you miss all that?

Yes, we guarantee a fantastic evening but what is not a guarantee is that without your support, the Lehigh Valley Barge No. 79 and the Red Hook Waterfront Barge Museum may not be able to continue this annual fundraiser in the future. So please, purchase your tickets now and share this extraordinary event with your family and friends. On behalf of David Sharps, and all of us on the Barge100 committee, thank you!

Hello fellow shipmates, it’s been a while!

The committee for Barge100 has been working very hard with lots of progress for the “Pirate Ball 2015” fundraising event! This year we are honoring Alice Scanlon and Josephine Meyers (sisters) as well as our Captain himself, David Sharps! We’re having great sponsors supporting us (many from the last event) such as: Hometown BBQ, Brooklyn Crab, Van Brunt Still-house, Stinky Brooklyn, Petite Crevette, Jolie Cantina, Naturally Delicious, Musician’s General Store and more coming on board as we speak! Entertainment will be extraordinary this year with jazz from the David Smith Trio to start the night off and all night dancing with Metropolis, NYC’s premier dance band! If that’s not enough, we’ll also feature a “live” auction with unique and incredible items to bid on. Let us not forget the party outside; the always so popular Rum Bar and Walk the Plank attraction with a grand prize awarded for “Best Costume” hopefully worn by you! Please join us for this truly fun and benevolent event to support the Waterfront Museum Barge – Lehigh Valley No. 79 ( a 101 year old wooden barge) remain in Red Hook Brooklyn for all to enjoy for another 100 years to come!IMG_0599!
