The committee for Barge100 has been working very hard with lots of progress for the “Pirate Ball 2015” fundraising event! This year we are honoring Alice Scanlon and Josephine Meyers (sisters) as well as our Captain himself, David Sharps! We’re having great sponsors supporting us (many from the last event) such as: Hometown BBQ, Brooklyn Crab, Van Brunt Still-house, Stinky Brooklyn, Petite Crevette, Jolie Cantina, Naturally Delicious, Musician’s General Store and more coming on board as we speak! Entertainment will be extraordinary this year with jazz from the David Smith Trio to start the night off and all night dancing with Metropolis, NYC’s premier dance band! If that’s not enough, we’ll also feature a “live” auction with unique and incredible items to bid on. Let us not forget the party outside; the always so popular Rum Bar and Walk the Plank attraction with a grand prize awarded for “Best Costume” hopefully worn by you! Please join us for this truly fun and benevolent event to support the Waterfront Museum Barge – Lehigh Valley No. 79 ( a 101 year old wooden barge) remain in Red Hook Brooklyn for all to enjoy for another 100 years to come!IMG_0599!
